Cookie Policy
Last updated: 15 May 2026
1. We do not use cookies
MaakQRCode does not use cookies. No cookies are placed on your device, neither by us nor by third parties through this website.
2. Why no cookie banner?
Belgian law (Act of 13 June 2005 on electronic communications) and the GDPR require a cookie banner only when a website uses cookies or similar tracking technologies that are not strictly necessary for operation. Because we place no cookies whatsoever, there is no legal obligation to request your consent. You do not need to accept or decline anything.
3. Analytics without cookies
We use Umami Analytics for anonymous website statistics. Umami operates entirely without cookies and without any client-side storage (no localStorage, no sessionStorage). Sessions are tracked solely server-side via a daily-rotating anonymous hash of your anonymised IP address and browser type. Your actual IP address is never stored. All collected data is fully anonymous. For more information about Umami: umami.is.
4. Local storage (localStorage)
Your QR code history (if you use that feature) is stored solely in the localStorage of your own browser. This data never leaves your device and is never sent to our servers. You can delete this history at any time via your browser settings or directly within the application.
5. Future changes
Should we introduce cookies in the future, we will update this policy and obtain your consent before any cookies are placed.
